WHEREAS, the clerk of court is the officer charged under section 28.071, Florida Statutes, with the certification and authentication of all court records within his custody as further described in rule 2.420, Florida Rules of Judicial Administration; and
WHEREAS, from time to time, certain court records in the clerk of court’s possession are required to be recorded among the Official Records of Brevard County by statute, court rule, or other directive; and
WHEREAS, in order to maximize the efficient administration of justice and pursuant to rule 2.215(b)(2), Florida Rules of Judicial Administration, it is thereupon,
ORDERED:
- Despite language to the contrary in any judgment or order of this circuit, the clerk of court shall only certify an entire document from the Court’s progress docket.
- Despite language to the contrary in any judgment or order of this circuit, when a court record is required to be recorded in the Official Records pursuant to statute, court rule, or other directive, the clerk of court shall cause the entirety of the affected document, including attachments or other writings incorporated therein by reference, to be recorded.
