Circuit Court Judge, 18th Circuit Court, Viera, Florida Elected November 2006 – present.

Judicial experience includes all family law matters, juvenile dependency and delinquency, civil litigation, domestic violence and currently serving on the dependency bench.
Since beginning his Judicial Career Judge Crawford has instituted several innovative and thoughtful programs in the 18th Circuit including: A Special Needs Docket for children in foster care with mental or physical disabilities allowing their case to be reviewed twice as often as previously set. Along with Brevard Family Partnership he instituted the county’s only supervised visitation program for parents seeking to reunite with their children while involved in a reunification case plan with the Department of Children and Families. With the help of his courtroom deputies and countless volunteers Judge Crawford maintained a playroom at the Courthouse for children forced to go to court along with a children’s clothing and toy/bicycle room making sure every child that came to court left with a much needed necessity and a toy. Setting of trials within 90 days of any request, litigants no longer wait a year for trial.Within the first 5 months of being assigned to the felony criminal division Judge Crawford resolved all cases assigned to him where inmates have been in Brevard County Jail in excess of 2 years therefore reducing the jail population and unnecessary delays.
