										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>EXCERPT: &#8220;Where an attorney is scheduled to appear before two or more judges at the same time and cannot arrange for other counsel in his or her firm or in the case to represent the client&#8217;s interest, the attorney shall give prompt written notice to opposing counsel and the presiding judge of each case of the conflict. The judges shall confer and undertake to avoid the conflict by agreement among themselves. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>WHEREAS</strong>, notices of expiration of speedy trial, motions for discharge and demands for speedy trial in criminal cases often require expedited hearings; and,</p>
<p><strong>WHEREAS</strong>, attorneys representing criminal defendants have on occasion included notices of expiration of speedy trial, motions for discharge, and demands for speedy trial together with other motions, resulting in routine scheduling of hearings on said motions; and,</p>
<p><strong>WHEREAS</strong>, there have been delays in the scheduling of notices of expiration of speedy trial, motions for discharge, and demands for speedy trial it is hereby: <strong>ORDERED</strong> that;</p>
<ol>
<li>All notices of expiration of speedy trial, motions for discharge, and demands for speedy trial shall be filed as separate pleadings with correct descriptive titles.</li>
<li>The attorneys filing notices of expiration of speedy trial, motions for discharge, and demands for speedy trial, are to immediately provide the judge to whom the case is assigned a copy of said motion within 24 hours of filing, by hand delivery or email.</li>
<li>The Clerk of Court shall provide the judge to whom a criminal case is assigned by electronic means, copies of notices of expiration of speedy trial, motions for discharge, and demands for speedy trial within 24 hours of filing.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Done and Ordered</strong> this 27th day of January 2015.</p>
