										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>WHEREAS</strong> <a title="Search Florida Statutes. Opens in a new browser window." href="http://www.leg.state.fl.us/STATUTES/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Florida Statute Sections 741.30 and 784.046</a> provides that the sheriff or law enforcement agency of the county where the respondent resides or can be found, shall serve a copy of the petition, financial affidavit, uniform child custody jurisdiction act affidavit, if any, notice of hearing, and temporary injunction, if any; and</p>
<p><strong>WHEREAS</strong> <a title="Search Florida Statutes. Opens in a new browser window." href="http://www.leg.state.fl.us/STATUTES/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Florida Statute Sections 741.30 and 784.046</a> further provides that it shall be served as soon thereafter as possible on any day of the week and at any time of the day or night; and</p>
<p><strong>WHEREAS</strong> <a title="Search Florida Statutes. Opens in a new browser window." href="http://www.leg.state.fl.us/STATUTES/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Florida Statute Sections 741.30 and 784.046</a> provides that the chief judge of each circuit, in consultation with the appropriate sheriff, may authorize a law enforcement agency within the jurisdiction to effect service; it is thereupon</p>
<p><strong>ORDERED AS FOLLOWS</strong>: That after consultation with the Seminole County Sheriff, the chief judge hereby authorizes Oviedo Police Department, Sanford Police Department, Sanford Airport Police Department, Lake Mary Police Department, Winter Springs Police Department, Casselberry Police Department, Longwood Police Department, and Altamonte Springs Police Department to effect service 8th day of September 2008.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>EXCERPT</strong>: “<span style="color: #2a3235;"><b>WHEREAS</b></span> it is the intent of the legislature as expressed in <a title="Search Florida Statutes. Opens in a new browser window." href="http://www.leg.state.fl.us/STATUTES/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Section 741.2901, 741.2902, 741.30, and 741.31, 784.046, and 784.047</a> Florida Statutes, that criminal prosecution shall be the favored method of enforcing compliance with injunctions for protection against domestic violence; and <span style="color: #2a3235;"><b>WHEREAS</b></span> the legislature acknowledges the Court’s inherent right to enforce compliance with injunctions for protection against domestic violence through indirect criminal contempt; and <strong>WHEREAS</strong>, the legislature directs the Court, the Clerk of the Circuit Court, and the State Attorney to develop procedures for the receipt and processing of violations of injunctions for protection against domestic, repeat, sexual, and dating violence, it has become necessary to review and revise existing procedures to conform with these new laws: <strong>IT IS ORDERED</strong>: (Open AO for more information.)”</p>
