BREVARD EARLY CHILDHOOD COURT
HEALING THROUGH ACTION - A UNIQUE WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY
There are lots of opportunities that benefit young children and their parents, families, and caregivers when the decision is made to participate in the Early Childhood Court program. Research confirms that children’s first 1000 days of life during their development is a window of opportunity to effectively intervene after they’ve experienced abuse or neglect. To be effective, interventions must begin early and be designed with infants, toddlers, and families in mind. Given this critical time when young children’s brains and social attachments are developing, the ECC program offers the following specialized evidence-based interventions resulting in positive outcomes.
