KENNEDY MIDDLE SCHOOL EXTENDS THANKS FOR A DAY WELL SPENT AT THE MOORE JUSTICE CENTER

Bob Bertram, 8TH grade teacher of Forensics at Kennedy Middle School, gave court deputies, judges and staff high marks for “orchestrating our field trip today at the Courthouse. We had a wonderful time!” In an email, Mr. Bertram wrote, “Today all of you welcomed us into the Courthouse as if it were your own home. Thank you for inspiring the students and making such wonderful impressions on them all. I can't thank you enough.”

Mr. Bertram extended a special thanks to Tina Derwitsch for coordinating the event. He also singled out Judges Jim Earp, Kelly McKibben, and David Koenig and Corporal Richard Hargraves “for taking time out of their busy schedules to talk to the students and answer questions. It was an opportunity and experience the students will never forget!”

SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS LORI SCOTT CELEBRATES THE RIGHT TO VOTE WITH STUDENT ART CONTEST

Circuit Judge Kelly J. McKibben joined student-artists, their parents, art teachers and school principals at a special awards ceremony held at the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners meeting on October 23. Judge McKibben sits on the panel of judges for the annual poster contest that is designed to spark conversations at home and in the classroom about the importance of voting. Artwork is judged on creativity, artistic merit, and overall patriotic theme.
